Yellowstone 2013

We needed a serious family break so what better place to go then one of our favorite places on earth, YELLOWSTONE!  We packed up the car...had to leave Ashley because of work, and made our way to our first stop Tremonton, Utah to stay the night with Aunt Kay and Uncle Rick!  After a hardy breakfast and some fun family time, we made a stop at Hyde Park Cemetery to put some flowers on Grandpa Follett's grave.  Can't go to Yellowstone without honoring Grandpa!

We traveled to West Yellowstone and then through the park gates!  We made our way to Indian Creek campground and set up camp!  Lily and Emma were in heaven just running around the campsite and the boys helped set up camp.  After eating some sandwiches for lunch we had to get back in the car and travel back to West Yellowstone so we could go the famous Playmill Theatre and enjoy the musical "Beauty and the Beast."  It was fabulous and we really loved Lumiere, and Belle had a beautiful voice.  Very well done!  We then went and had an ice cream cone and Foster Freeze across the street.
We drove back to our camp and settled in for a very cold night but we survived.  Best part of the night was telling ghost stories in the tent and Lily won the prize for longest and most original.  We discovered very quickly that the bathrooms were the best camping bathrooms we had ever had! (a plus for me)

We left early in the morning and for the next few days spent our time exploring the park and finding some wildlife. We hiked to the brink of the Lower Falls and some other small hikes, spent sometime in Mammoth by dad's childhood house and fished at Yellowstone Lake.
